I just found out that I am pregnant and do not know what to do. Can you help me?
Yes! We are here to help! North Side Pregnancy Options is a safe, nonjudgmental place where you can come with all of your questions and concerns, whether you know you are pregnant, or are worried that you might be. We will answer your questions and address any fears or concerns you may have. We are here for you as a woman and as our client, and we will give you all of the information you need so that you are able to make the best decisions for you and, if you are pregnant, for your child as well.
Do you do pregnancy testing?
Yes. We do FREE urine-based pregnancy tests. If you think you might be pregnant, call for an appointment today at 612-522-6589.
Do you do ultrasounds?
Yes. We provide free, limited obstetrical ultrasounds. All clients who come in for a pregnancy test and have a positive result will be offered an appointment to come back for an ultrasound if they are less than 16 weeks pregnant. These ultrasounds are done primarily for the purpose of finding the baby's heartbeat, making sure the baby is growing properly in the uterus, and getting measurements for a more accurate due date.
We do not provide diagnostic ultrasounds to determine the gender of the child. If you are looking for a diagnostic ultrasound, we will be happy to assist you in finding a clinic that can provide you this service.
Can you help me pay my rent?
We work with Cradle of Hope and Life Fund to help women who are pregnant that need rental assistance. There are criteria for qualifying for these programs. Please call us for pre-screening to see if you may qualify for one of these programs at 612-522-6589.
Do you do STI/STD tests?
We provide STI/STD testing for clients enrolled in our prenatal program. If not, please call if you would like more information on where you can receive free STI/STD testing.
Can I get free contraception?
We do not provide or refer for artificial methods of birth control, but our medical professionals can answer your questions and provide you with accurate medical information.
Do you have formula, cribs, or other baby supplies?
Yes, we provide material support for women and families in our service area. You may call for an appointment to get diapers, wipes, formula, and gently used baby clothing. If you are interested in new items such as cribs, new baby clothes, a stroller, or other new baby equipment, you may be eligible to participate in our Small Steps Program. Please call 612-522-6589 for more information.
Do you take donations? What items do you take?
We take donations of freshly washed, gently used baby clothes from size newborn to size 6T and maternity clothes in good condition. We also take used baby equipment such as strollers and toys that are clean, up to date, and in good condition. Due to state law, we cannot take used car seats or cribs. Used baby equipment must have all safety straps.
Do you perform abortions?
At North Side Pregnancy Options we do not perform or refer for abortions. We can provide you with medically accurate information provided by the Minnesota Department of Health on the different abortion procedures available as well as the health risks involved.
